Caylin Broome LCSW
You don't need to grieve alone.
Life throws curveballs. Relationships end, diagnoses change family dynamics, grief overwhelms, and even your child's behavior can shift unexpectedly. If you're struggling with these or other life transitions, I can help you navigate the challenges and find a path forward.

Despite our best-laid plans, life has a way of offering seasons of unexpected change.
Whatever you're facing, life as you knew it changed profoundly (and without your permission!). You now feel a sense of uncertainty you just can't shake- you know "before" is gone, but not what "after" holds. You want relief, clarity, and to know you're not alone.
That’s where I come in. I am so glad you are here.

My Clinical Specialties
Grief
As a Certified Grief Professional, I understand grief is a universal experience. I can help you identify your losses, process your emotions, and find a path forward—not by moving on, but by moving forward with your grief. My own experiences with loss inform my compassionate approach to grief therapy.
Trauma
Whether you've experienced a single traumatic event or the ongoing effects of prolonged trauma like abuse or neglect, I can help. Using mindfulness, ACT, and attachment-based approaches, I'll support you in building self-awareness, regulating your nervous system, integrating your trauma story, and finding safety and purpose again.
Adoption
I hold a certificate from CASE's Training in Adoption competency, and am experienced in working with all members of the adoption kinship network—adoptees, adoptive families, and birth families. Using an attachment-based lens, I help everyone honor their unique experiences, strengthen relationships, and build positive identities.

About Me
As a licensed clinical social worker, I am passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges, especially grief and loss, trauma, difficult childhoods, and adoption-related issues. I've worked in diverse settings around Atlanta since 2010, and now focus on supporting clients in building a vibrant and meaningful "after" – on their terms. I am a social justice oriented therapist who believes in the inherent dignity and worth of clients of all identities.
Using evidence-based approaches like DBT principles and Trauma-Focused ACT, along with mindfulness and expressive therapies (think art and play - especially with kiddos!), I can help you make sense of your story and figure out what's next. I believe your experiences have meaning, and I'm here to help you discover it.
In my free time, I enjoy Sims 4, the Atlanta comedy scene, cuddling my four cats, and podcasts like You're Wrong About and Normal Gossip.
